If you are a landlord you are
probably aware of the legal requirement to have your gas and the appliances,
in your “rented property” checked for safety.
“Rented Property” consists
of -;
Houses and flats rented
out
Rented holiday accommodation.
Rooms let in a bed-sit.
Private households where a room is let.
Bed and breakfast accommodation.
These are a few examples. As
can be seen it is anywhere where an occupier is at risk.
What do we check?
Gas pipework, leaks,
installation and safety.
Gas appliance, installation, flame picture, combustion, flue and ventilation.
Carbon monoxide test.
Record.
A record is then made and a
copy is kept on file by Boiler Call, a copy given to the tenant, which in the
case of a holiday let is usually kept on display, and a copy to the owner.
Boiler Call.
Because we pride ourselves in
a personal service this is extended to “our” landlords who use our service.
We know the landlords of the
homes we look after and are trusted by them. By having an arrangement to
proceed in the event of a certificate requirement or a breakdown, we can
ensure that the tenant receives best possible service.
By using our
Priority Call-Out Scheme
in the event of a breakdown the tenant can contact us direct, thus
alleviating the time and hassle by having to contact the landlord or the
agent.
If an arrangement is to be
made through an agent we ask for an agreement to be drawn up to make it clear
how much work can be done without authority. This saves time in getting the
heating back on again and can be done in one visit. Due to our low charges we
also ask that the account be settled within 14 days. |
