PUMP STUCK

If your pump has stopped try these few things.

·        Is there a live connection?

·        Is there water in your small header tank?  (not combi)

If both these questions are YES then:

Try changing the pump speed or give the pump a tap. It may get it going.

You may be able to free off the spindle. Turn off power before attempting and make sure the pump is cool. Boiling water could come out.

There are 2 basic types that can be freed off.

1          Remove outer cap to expose inner impellor.

Common makes are;-

                                    Grunfos and Wilo

2                    Unscrew outer cap by hand. Upon releasing, pull knob forward to engage impellor. The most common make that has this is a Myson.
